A small intro
Organized in 1987 by some caring mothers who adopted children from Mexico. This Sub-for Santa project has blossomed into a 501(c)3 charitable humanitarian organization which spends thousands of man hours working toward our goal of helping those less fortunate that we are.
Our mission: To provide love and compassion and life sustaining assistance to the needy.
We focus on families, children, elderly, and those in severe need by providing basic necessities of food, blankets, clothing, health care items, wheelchairs, walkers, hygeine kits, home repairs, toys, and school supplies.
We team up with the local Paquime Rotary International in Casas Grandes, Mexico, to identify the most needy people. Each year we provide food and assistance to hundreds of families. Donations go directly to thos people. There are no administrative salaries or costs.
AEM demonstrates compassion to those in need showing them someone does care and is concerned for their welfare, hoping that this will enable recipients to find comfort in the knowledge that they have not been forgotten in the overwhelming difficulties of their everyday struggles to survive.
Donations of hammers and shovels help a man find employment. A food "despensa" provides a family with needed food essentials. A wheel chair or crutches can literally change a life. School supplies are invaluable to kids in school.
How AEM works
01
Donations
Use our Venmo code to donate. Contact an AEM member to donate new cloths, shoes, shovels, blankets, hygeine items, toys, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.
02
Preparation
AEM members load all donated items into our 4 trailers and trucks during the year for the journey to Mexico in late October or early November each year.
03
Coordination
Working with the Rotary International members in Mexico we locate the most needy individuals and families for the distribution of despensas and the other items donated.
04
Completion
The trip to Mexico lasts 10 days where we travel, unload the goods donated, coordinate the distribution of items, distribute the items, check on progress of construction projects, find new projects for the next year, then return home and start again.
